exfill®
Injection Molding Application
The increase of dimensional stability, reduction of cycle time and reduction of costs reduction are the three most important parameters that make the use of Exfill® in injection moulding successful.
Improving thermal conductivity by using mineral based concentrates has significant importance in injection moulding applications. The injected parts heat up and cool down faster, which poses the possibility of increasing productivity by the shortening the duration of the injection process.
Furthermore, Exfill® grades of mineral masterbatches with ultra-fine particle size act as nucleating agents and help in creating a more homogenous crystalline structure in the final product; as a result, better mechanical properties and lower shrinkage can be expected.
The Exfill® range of PE-and PP-based mineral masterbatches is widely used in several products such as garden furniture, household products or electrical appliances.
The benefits of using Exfill® in injection moulding are the following:
• Reduces cycle time
• Improves impact strength
• less and more uniform shrinkage
Environmentally responsible
Exfill® helps to minimise the carbon footprint of finished products. Our mineral concentrates are completely recyclable and naturally engineered to reduce the use of petrochemical-based products. When you use our products, you add ecological value to plastic by increasing productivity and lowering energy consumption
The Exfill® range of products can be used in packaging according to the following:
• FDA 21 CFR;EEC (94/62)
• Council of Europe Resolution AP(89)1
• European Commission Regulation (EU) num 10/2011.
